Join the Fun at the Upcoming Active Fusion 3K Challenge
Active Fusion is thrilled to announce the return of the much-loved Active Fusion 3K Challenge, set to take place at the Doncaster Cycle Track on Sunday 25th August 2024.
This exciting event invites participants of all ages and abilities to walk, jog, wheel, or run 3 kilometres, all while supporting a fantastic cause. Organised in collaboration with Curly’s Athletes, the event promises a day filled with community spirit, fitness, and fun. For just a £2.50 entry fee, participants can enjoy a morning of activity, knowing their contribution goes directly to improving the lives of local children and young people through Active Fusion’s programmes.
The event is designed to be inclusive, encouraging families and individuals to move at their own pace. Whether you choose to walk, jog, run, or wheel (using wheelchairs, mobility walkers or pushchairs), the focus is on participation and community rather than competition.
What to Expect
On event day, participants will be welcomed by the friendly teams from Active Fusion and Curly’s. Upon arrival, participants will receive a sticker from the event team, signalling the start of their 3-lap journey around the cycle track. Along the way, expect to be cheered on with lively music and welcoming smiles. Hydration stations will be available to keep everyone refreshed. At the finish line, every participant will be awarded a specially designed wooden medal as a token of accomplishment. This innovative medal is a new addition for August’s event, symbolising both achievement and the sustainable values of the event.
A Fun-Filled Day for a Great Cause
The Active Fusion 3K is not a timed race but an opportunity for families and friends to spend quality time together while staying active and contributing to a meaningful cause. However, for those interested in tracking their performance, there will be an optional leaderboard where participants can submit their times and celebrate their personal records.
