Active Fusion Appoints New Trustee to Board

Local legend, Pat Hagan, joins Active Fusion’s board of trustees

 

Active Fusion has named their new trustee as Pat Hagan. Pat will join the board in March 2023 and share the responsibility of Education and Communities with Davina Summer.  

Pat has a long-standing service to Doncaster Council dating all the way back to 1974!  However, after an eventful career, Pat is due to move into retirement at the end of March, departing from his role as the Head of Localities and Town Centre.  

Pat has made an incredibly positive impact on transforming the anti-social behaviour in the city centre, tackling homelessness and has been the lead for any major crisis including the floods that hit Bentley and Toll Bar in 2007.   

In his spare time, Pat enjoys volunteering as a football referee as sports has always played a big part in his life. Pat has always admired the work of Active Fusion, so the new appointment seems the perfect fit. Active Fusion is looking forward to Pat bringing a lifetime of expertise from his work to help support the charity to grow even further.

Pat Hagan commented, “I have chosen to join Active Fusion because of the strong ethos to provide opportunities for children and young people, from all backgrounds across South Yorkshire, to be involved in sport and activity. As a Trustee, my aim is to support the team in their ambition to go further and faster to help young people build the foundations for a healthy, happy and active life through sport.” 

Lindsy James, director of Active Fusion added, “Having Pat join our board of trustees will add a wealth of experience and knowledge from his long career working with communities and those neighbourhoods most in need. Pat has a good heart and I know that he will use his passion for sport with his lifelong career of making a positive difference to others to complement our charity.”
