What are the entry requirements for this standard?
English and Maths: Apprentices without Level 1 English and Maths will need to achieve this level and take the test for level 2 English and Maths prior to the end point assessment.
What are the possible pathways for apprentices?
Successful apprentices will be able to move into leadership or management roles within the sector, which may be aligned to an apprenticeship at a higher level. This progression will involve leading teams of people; acting as a mentor for staff, or specialising with the delivery of sporting and physical activity programmes to certain populations or communities

English and Maths: Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to progressing through the Gateway and taking their end-point assessment.
What are the possible pathways?
Successful apprentices will be able to move into senior roles within the Sector – leading teams of people or specialising with certain populations, particular sports or programmes.
During this course you will be expected to:

Here at Active Fusion, Physical Education is what we do. Through passion and years of experience, we’ve garnered expertise and understanding. We wanted to support those who had the same passion to end physical inactivity to both succeed in the sector and drive it forward.
That is what we did and continue to do. To date, over three hundred apprentices have trained with Active Fusion support, each gaining the knowledge, skills and confidence to reach their greatest potential.
Guaranteed from an Active Fusion Apprenticeship:
– Experienced specialist staffing from the sports and physical activity sector.
– Blended learning programme incorporating digital and face-to-face delivery.
– Information, advice and guidance for learners to support them in identifying future career, training, employment or development opportunities.
– Actively working with schools, leisure trusts and coaching providers on staff training, apprenticeships, business support and licensed product delivery.
Assist in the delivery of PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs.
Support with school teams at competitions, trips and residentials.
Help children learn across other subjects.
Mentor groups of more able/less able children
Young Person aged 16+
Level 1 English and Maths (GCSE/functional skills)
Commit to the programme for 13 months.
You will gain a Level 2 Apprenticeship, Level 3 Higher Sports Leaders Award (UCAS points), as well as a range of National Governing Body qualifications.
Successful candidates will be based in a school or community sport setting four days per week and released for tutor training one day per week.
On completion of the course they will be able to move into more senior roles within the sector – leading teams of people or specialising with certain communities, sports or programmes. They may be employed by their school or progress into higher education.
Active Fusion has a strong track record of appointing graduate apprentices to the Fusion Family Team!
You will gain a Level 2 Apprenticeship, Level 3 Higher Sports Leaders Award (UCAS points), as well as a range of National Governing Body qualifications.
Alongside picking up new skills in a practical setting, you will complete assignments and lesson plans with the help of an apprentice tutor, in a classroom setting.
