Putting physical activity and competitive sport at the heart of schools and providing more young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best. Through this nationally funded programme we work on a local level to ensure our delivery and programme of competition helps to achieve this mission.
To maintain and grow school engagement in the School Games and their delivery of 60 active minutes.
Creating positive experiences via physical activity and motivating competition provision.
To have a clear focus on secondary schools and transition points (e.g. Yr.3 and Yr.6/7).
Creating positive experiences that support the character development of young people. Including opportunities that incorporate high quality delivery, inclusive leadership and volunteering.
To advocate to key stakeholders how the School Games makes a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people, including supporting schools to engage and educate parents.
